Artist’s Story

In the Vermilion Cliffs on the Arizona Utah border, there is a special spot called White Pockets. The sandstone formations swirl as though it had been mixed bowl with the beaters on low speed. It’s just a crazy landscape that is such a beautiful flowering of reds, yellows and brilliant whites. Much like the Milky Way. It was a thrill to get this photograph where the Milky Way and the swirling rocks are such definitive mirrors.
