Artist’s Story

I’ve hiked the rugged Verde River since high school, visiting ancient home sites. Just 30 minutes from home at Bartlett Lake, the pre-dawn spring Milky Way rises, reflecting brilliant, colorful light on the water. This multi-row panorama blends tracked sky exposures for crisp stars with extra-long foreground shots, gathering the faint ambient light of astronomical twilight.
