Big Dipper gives us our first compass, everyone knows these stars!
The Big Dipper at Greer Arizona, true dark skies, so close to my Scottsdale home.
After a long night of capturing the reflection of the sky on a Greer lake, I turned to go home, and the Big Dipper was leading my way up the path. Perfection! The green a purple streaks of glowing air (really!) made the dream come true. I have touched the stars up a bit so we can see them the way we remember them, the first time we found a pattern in the sky.
